High School Certificate equivalency

What is the high school Certificate equivalency? What documents are required and how long does it take to obtain the equation?

What is the high school certificate equivalency?

- It is not an equivalent to the certificate, but rather a documentation of the certificate obtained by the student in his country.

It is very important for admission to Russian universities and is required in the first year of study (the first course) and a condition for admission to Russian universities. Therefore, preparatory students are advised to take advantage of the time and start taking it during the period of studying the preparatory year, due to the limited time that universities give to students in the first year to bring it and apply for it. It is required for all students, whether their studies are in Russian, English, or French at the university.

Documenting the certificate at the Russian embassy or consulate in the student’s country of origin is not sufficient to fulfill the conditions necessary for recognition of their secondary school certificate and enrollment in Russian universities, but rather the amendment (equation) that takes place in the Moscow center in which the authenticity of the certificate is verified from the primary source in the country granting the certificate.

What documents are required and how long does it take to obtain the equation?

Fourth: Translating the secondary school certificate into Russian.

It must be notarized by a Russian sworn translator and a notary public in Russia (so-called notary), meaning the translation must be done in Russia.

The duration of the certificate equivalency ranges between 30 and 40 days, excluding official holidays if they fall during this period.

important note :

- For students who hold a bachelor’s degree and wish to study a master’s or doctoral degree, the same applies to them, but the last certificate obtained by the student in his country (bachelor’s degree and transcript for all years of study) is equalized.
